The AAMSE National Specialty CEO Summit is the only forum where National Specialty CEOs can get just-in-time insights & education around the current issues specialty societies are facing, and engage with their peers in a safe setting in stimulating discussion, problem solving, and sharing of best practices. The meeting is designed by specialty CEOs for CEOs.

Sex, Money, Power and Governance: Tales from the Front Lines

Objective: Describe several highly adverse but not uncommon governance challenges; name the fundamentals of a board training on governance; discuss potential solutions to problematic governance scenarios and preventive measures that could be applied.

A panel of three medical society executive will lead us in a discussion about governance challenges and dilemmas and strategies to address them. Each panel member will describe one or more governance scenarios.  After a short outline of a governance training program, the panel will engage participants in discussing possible solutions to the cases presented.




Managing Your Most Important Asset: Attracting, Keeping and Leading Staff

Objective: Understand how to create meaningful educational content and CME opportunities that will meet the needs of physicians as the delivery of educational content evolves.

This session will explore how to develop educational content and delivery in a manner that will address the needs of physicians and meet the strategic and performance needs of today’s healthcare system. Understand how investing in CME and new information and communication technology have the potential to improve physician performance and outcomes.
