Registration for the State Membership Meeting and the County CEO meeting will be handled through the conference registration above. If you onl wish to attend one of these meetings and not the conference, there is an option to do so during registration.

New Member/First-Timer Program

As a new attendee to the AAMSE Annual Conference, it is easy to miss the multitude of opportunities available to you. Be sure to review the following to ensure you have a productive and fulfilling conference experience!


The education at the AAMSE Annual Conference is considered among the best in the industry and is designed by and for medical society professionals. Each session is chosen for its relevance, value and ability to advance the professional development of each attendee.


The Annual Conference brings together senior-level, mid-level and new professionals within medical society management. Networking takes place at receptions, meals and other miscellaneous events. However, the best networking at the conference is during the educational sessions. Strong bonds are formed when medical society professionals take on the role of student and grow professionally together during sessions. Not only will there be “lecture” style sessions, you will also have opportunities for interactive and “hands-on” learning.

As a New Member/First-Timer, you will be paired with an AAMSE veteran, based on similar job function and/or organization type. This veteran will be in contact with you in the weeks preceding the conference. You will have the opportunity to meet this veteran along with other New Members/First-Timers as well as AAMSE Board and committee members at a gathering directly before the Opening Reception on Wednesday evening. Most importantly, be sure to identify yourself as a New Member/First-Timer when registering for the 2015 Annual Conference to take advantage of these additional offerings.

First-Timer Tips:

  • Read the conference agenda and session descriptions thoroughly and select sessions that will be most likely to improve your skills
  • Attend the Business Meeting and Awards Lunch on Friday to meet AAMSE Board members and Profiles of Excellence Award winners
  • Become an active participant — ask questions and make comments
  • Make new connections — set a goal to walk away from the Annual Conference with a minimum of five new contacts
  • Bring lots of business cards to share
  • Attend a session or two on a topic you know nothing about — it’s a good way to learn something new
  • Plan on staying to the end of Saturday’s sessions — they are not-to-miss topics
  • Electronic handouts, PowerPoint slides and presentation guides will be available in July via the Annual Conference mobile app — download them to your laptop or mobile device or print and bring them with you to follow along with the presentations

Registration Information

Your registration fee includes all general sessions, breakout sessions and the following meals and receptions: Wednesday Opening Reception; Thursday Breakfast, Lunch and Exhibitor Reception; Friday Breakfast, Board Installation and Awards Lunch; and Saturday Breakfast. AAMSE’s registration fee continues to be a superior value for your money toward professional development.

Includes Wednesday Opening Reception, Thursday evening Welcome to Portland Event, Friday Board Installation and Awards Lunch. Guest passes do not include attendance to educational sessions.

Conference Cancellation Policy

Full refunds will be given for cancellations by June 19, minus a $50 administrative fee. From June 19 to the opening day of the meeting, a 50% refund on the registration fee will be granted, minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after July 22, 2015. No shows will not receive a refund.

Mobile App Access

AAMSE will offer Annual Conference attendees a convenient online scheduling tool. This online scheduler will allow you to design your individual conference schedules from the selection of sessions being offered.

When selecting sessions you will be able to read the session descriptions, educational objectives/takeaways and speaker profiles in order to choose the sessions that are most relevant to you. You will also be able to easily adjust or rearrange your schedule online if you want to change any of the sessions you selected. The mobile app is compatible with both Apple and Android devices. Session PowerPoint slides and presentation materials will be uploaded to the site in early July, allowing you to access them and take notes directly on the slides and materials via your tablet, computer or smartphone during the conference.

Once your registration has been turned in and processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your instructions on how to access the app.
