F2 Development Academy

AAMSE would like to thank all of those who paticipated in the first Faculty and Facilitator Development Academy!  And a special thanks goes to Dan Kelsey, MBA, MS, CAE, Kenneth Slaw, PhD, Laura Tiberi, CAE and Donald Wall for their hard work in creating and facilitating a succesful program.

      The Faculty and Facilitator Development
      Academy, or F² Development Academy, was
      created in 2011 by the Leadership Committee
      to provide unique participation opportunities
      for committee members and Leadership
      Academy alumni. The first program was held
      on March 30-31, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency
      O'Hare in Rosemont, IL.

      The 2011 F2 Development Academy focused on:
  • Refreshing the knowledge of the Leadership Academy and the Kouzes and Posner "Five Behaviors" model;
  • Learning how to create an effective presentation and speak to groups;
  • Reintroducing the LPI results and learning to consult individuals when they first receive their results;
  • Familiarizing attendees with the roles and responsibilities of faculty and facilitators through specified breakout sessions;
  • Understanding the key takeways of each Leadership Academy segment; and
  • Gathering input on the final agenda for the 2011 Leadership Academy.
