AAMSE continues to fulfill the goals of its founding members by continuing to provide an opportunity for the national specialty medical society CEOs to meet together and discuss the issues common to all.  Through both in-person and electronic communication, AAMSE continues to be the forum for the chief officers of national specialty medical societies to network with their peers and develop strategies to confront the most pressing issues facing national specialty medical societies today.

ListServ/Forum

AAMSE maintains both a listserv and forum exclusively for the national specialty CEOs.  These communication tools are meant to allow quick communication between colleagues for answering questions or soliciting opinions on a specific issue. For more more detailed questions, or ones that need to be analyzed, AAMSE provides surveying services to CEOs.

National Specialty Medical Society Executive Compensation Report

AAMSE publishes annually the only compensation report tailored specifically to just national specialty medical society CEOs.  The report includes information on:

• CEOs and organizations demographics
• Contracts
• Base salary, incentives and total salary
• Benefits
• Salaries of the top eleven executive-level positions

The report also contains comparisons of average salary by region, education level, experience and total budget.

Surveys are distributed in early spring and published in late spring to early summer. Reports are restricted to National specialty CEOs.  If you would like to receive a PDF copy of the compensation report, please email Benjamin Butz at bbutz@aamse.org.

AAMSE Surveys

AAMSE provides National specialty CEOs with surveying services for national specialty CEOs.  Questions are developed in conjunction with the CEO requesting the survey, the survey is then distributed to all national specialty medical society CEOs and then compiled and analyzed by AAMSE staff. This process takes approximately two weeks.
